Part 1: Manoeuvres

Players have one ball each.

Players run around area with ball on stick for 45-seconds, then move the ball while standing still for 45-seconds as active rest.

Repeat 3-times.

COACHING POINTS

Stick on ball throughout movements. Low body position, keep head up, identify space, constantly change direction

Part 2: Eliminations

SET 1 ( LEFT TO RIGHT)

1st player on each cone carries the ball towards each set of cones.

When they get to the cones, jump from left foot to right foot while dragging the ball. Keep stick on the ball throughout skill execution.

Continue all the way to the far cone. Coach times 3-minutes.

SET 2 (RIGHT TO LEFT)

As per SET 1, but at the cones jump from right foot to left foot while dragging the ball. Keep the stick on the ball throughout skill execution.

COACHING POINTS

Stick on ball throughout, keep head up. Change pace and accelerate after jumping from one foot to other, keep feet moving.

Part 3: Connections

SET 1 ( LEFT TO RIGHT)

Players on cones start at the same time.

Carry at speed, moving the ball right and left until they get to the tyres.

Select 1 tyre each, pull the ball left to right and then circulate around the tyre.

Fire the pass back towards the cone they started on. Follow pass back to the start.

Next player receives pass and repeats. Coach times 3-minutes.

SET 2 (RIGHT TO LEFT)

As per SET 1, but at tyre, pull the ball to the left and circulate around the tyre on reverse stick.

COACHING POINTS

Stick tight on the ball, change angle early, keep ball central. Change speed, keep body low on the turn, head up to see.

Part 4: Small Group Gameplay

3 v 2 with Joker (X).

Teams play against each other 2 v 2.

Whichever team has possession, the Joker (X) is part of your team and can be used as extra player.

Score by running the ball over the end line with control. Joker (X) cannot score.

Change the Joker (X) every 2 minutes.

COACHING POINTS

Fast attack, drive into space, confidence on the ball. Utilise extra player early, go forward. Attack with speed, be aggressive, have intensity on and off the ball.
